1. The pervasive threat of flour dust

Flour is extremely fine, dry, and highly pervasive. When standard wet or tacky lubricants are used, flour adheres readily, forming a severe, highly abrasive buildup that significantly accelerates wear on rollers, guides, and chains. This abrasive accumulation can also conceal existing wear or cause uneven equipment movement, leading to chain elongation or misalignment.

 

2. Moisture, steam, and wash-downs
