What's New at Bel-Ray
What’s new at Bel-Ray-
The beginning of December is upon us and Bel-Ray is not slowing down. Our sponsored racers and teams have continued their winning ways and new partnerships have been announced in the last two weeks.
Beginning on the 29th of November Bel-Ray TM factory racer Thomas Chareyre captured the World Supermoto Championship in the S1 class over fellow Bel-Ray backed TM racer, teammate Davide Gozzini. The championship battle went down to the final round with Chareyre emerging victorious by a scant 2 point margin in one of the closest battles in Supermoto racing history.
The week of the 29th of November was also the announcement of the partnership that Bel-Ray has entered with the all new Dodge Motorsports backed Hart and Huntington Supercross team. The team consists of former National and Supercross Lites Champion Ivan Tedesco and Top-10 supercross competitor Chris Blose and is scheduled to compete in the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross series beginning in January. The team is owned by industry icon Carey Hart who is famous for completing the first ever motorcycle back flip in competition and has gone on to own a successful night club and tattoo studio in Las Vegas, NV. Hart’s involvement with Bel-Ray includes his personal endorsements as well. His long standing respect in the industry makes him a perfect fit for the quality products that Bel-Ray produces.
The 6-Hours Endurance race presented by Bel-Ray was held on the weekend of December 4-5 at the Phillip Island Circuit on Phillip Island in Australia. This once iconic event resurrected last year was backed by Bel-Ray and the sponsorship continued this year as well. The world famous track produced great racing action all weekend long and the event now holds Australian National Championship status. The premier class was won by the Demolition Plus Honda team of Josh Brooks and Wayne Maxwell who completed 215 laps over the 6 hour event.
Also “Down Under” over the weekend Bel-Ray TM backed David Gozzini successfully defended his 2009 Australian Supermoto championship with the 2010 crown. Gozzini will now head to New Zealand and attempt to defend his Tri-Series title.
In addition to the professional racing that Bel-Ray supports the 2011 Amateur support program is going strong with new riders signing up each day.
Keep an eye out for more announcements in the weeks to come.
